Think Wild offers hands-on, outdoor and classroom education programming for learners of all ages, including summer camps, volunteer events, after school programs, assemblies, and more. We offer both one-off opportunities or ongoing lessons to carry over multiple sessions. Dig into issues in human wildlife conflict, careers in wildlife biology, or get outside and explore Central Oregon’s diverse habitats.

Think Wild's youth education programs nurture appreciation for the local environment and provide hands-on learning opportunities with real community impact. Our goal is to empower students to become environmental stewards in their communities by providing the knowledge and resources necessary through accessible education programs focused on native wildlife natural history, outdoor exploration, and environmental conservation. Curriculum offerings meet Next Generation Science Standards and include pollinator gardening, nest box workshops, river ecology labs, animal studies, and habitat restoration projects.
In 2022, over 65% of students involved in our programs came from rural, low income, indigenous, and/or Latinx communities. Grants, private donations, and paid education programs allow us to increase the accessibility of our programs and waive fees for those with fewer resources.
